He was born to Lige & Kate Vincent on a family farm north of Eakly, Oklahoma on March 9, 1946. He graduated from Eakly Public School in 1964 and pursued a life of farming and ranching with his father. He joined the Oklahoma National Guard in the spring of 1966 and served six consecutive years. Reuben attended the Eakly First Baptist Church where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on August 30, 1981. He was soon baptized and remained a lifelong member of Eakly First Baptist Church.
Reuben completed several mission trips to Honduras, all pertaining to agriculture. The native Hondurans and culture were very interesting. He enjoyed sharing agriculture ideas to better their quality of life.
Reuben met Sabrina Stoup in the spring of 1996 and moved to May, Texas, in the fall. He managed a ranch in the May area with a variety of livestock and established his own ranch in 1998. He continued the ranching lifestyle after marrying Sabrina on September 26, 2009. They raised Spanish goats, registered quarter horses, and cattle throughout their 30 years together. Reuben made precious memories of spring break and summertime visits with his grandchildren in Texas. Time together was fun, adventurous and a learning experienced for all.
