Nancy G. Gomez, 87, of Carnegie, Oklahoma, passed away on November 23, 2024, at 12:59 p.m.
She was born on February 4, 1937, to the late Jack and Ethel Quoetone in Lawton, Oklahoma. Nancy grew up and attended grade school in Sedan, Oklahoma, then later moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she attended high school at Central High School. In October 1954, she married the late Joe Gomez at Little Flower Catholic Church in Oklahoma City. To this union were born three children, two sons and a daughter. Nancy was blessed to have been a housewife and full-time mother. In 1985, She returned home to Carnegie and began taking care of her parents. Nancy was a member of St. Richard's Catholic Church in Carnegie, and was active in being a Shriner's wife and was also a member of Daughter's of the Nile. She loved to travel and go on cruises. Nancy was a very strong woman. She lived a long and blessed life with her family and little fur baby, Chloe, beside her. Nancy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her sons, Joe Gomez Jr. and wife Sherri, Oklahoma City, OK, and Mike Gomez, Anadarko, OK; daughter, Angela Gorbet and husband Leland, Carnegie, OK; and five grandchildren: Chelsea Gorbet, Oklahoma City, OK, Damien Gorbet, Carnegie, OK, Tiffany Gomez, Oklahoma City, OK, Joseph Ryan Gomez, Oklahoma City, OK, Jason Gomez and wife Lisa, Oklahoma City, OK; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Gomez; parents, Jack and Ethel Quoetone; sister, Carmaletta Wahnee and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday. November 29, 2024, at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Rosary was at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Saddle Mountain Cemetery in Mountain View, Oklahoma.
