Thomas Paul Whitezell

Thomas Paul Whitezell, 76, of Carnegie, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on July 22, 2025, at the VA Medical Center. He was born on August 11, 1948, to Henery and Mildred (Porter) Whitezell in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. Thomas grew up and attended school in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, graduating from Greensburg High School in 1966. He enlisted in the United States Army on July 23, 1969, and served honorably. Thomas married Kathryn Smith on August 5, 2004, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He spent his working life farming. Thomas enjoyed hunting deer and turkeys. He loved running the music at the Nazarene Church. Thomas loved tractors, collecting them, riding them, and working on them. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Hydro, Oklahoma. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Whitezell of the home; children: Bradley Whitezell, MO, Robert Whitezell, MO, Jennifer Leatherbury, Altus, OK and Charles Robert Leatherbury, Mountain View, OK; and grandchildren: Zander and Kinsley Whitezell, MO, Cristofer Flores and Carlos Flores, GA, Mary Morgan, Altus, OK and Layna and Isaiah Leatherbury, Mountain View, OK. He is also survived by nephew, Robert Whitezell, Lawton, OK, and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henery and Mildred Whitezell; two brothers, Robert and Roy Whitezell, and sister, Mary Lou.
Visitation was from 1-8 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2025, and 1-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Interment was in the Carnegie Cemetery in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
